What do I do if I think my recycling has been missed?
If you feel that you have been missed please call and let us know. If you have in fact been missed we will be more than happy to come back that afternoon or first thing the next morning to retrieve your recyclables.
Where do I need to leave my recycling bin?
When you sign up for new service your bin will be delivered to your curb. Unless indicated otherwise, you will need to place your bin at the curb on the day of your pick-up in the same place where it was delivered.
Also, It is important that you have your bin to the curb no later than 8:00 a.m. on the day of your pick-up. Due to periodic changes made to the order in which we run our routes, we may arrive earlier or later in the day that we have in the previous weeks.
Is it okay if I have more than one bin?
More than one bin is OK! Typically, a single household will not generate more than one 18 gallon container of comingled recyclables per week. However, if you wish to have one bin for your paper and another for your comingled glass, plastic, aluminum, and steel we will be happy to collect it that way. As long as you have at least one of our green bins you may use another small trash bin, Rubbermaid container, or other that you may already have at home to sort the two groups.
Is there any additional charge if I generate more than one bin per week?
If your household generates more than average we will not charge extra to collect one or two additional containers of recycling per week. All we ask is this: If you exceed one bin of co-mingled recycling per week please sort the materials into separate groups. We suggest bagging them up in grocery bags or having a bin for each material.
We apologize in advance for any inconvenience this may cause but because we sort your recycling at the curb we have to keep the amount of sorting to a minimum in order to provide service to a set number of customers per day.
Can I get an extra Earth Resources bin?
We will gladly deliver an extra bin if you feel that you need one. There is a one time fee of $18 for each additional bin requested.
What do I need to do with my bin if I have to discontinue my service?
If you have to discontinue your service for any reason it is important that we get your recycling bin back. We ask that you please notify us or attach a note to your recycling bin instructing the driver to take your bin once he has emptied it for the last time.
What day will my recycling be picked up?
If you are interested in signing up for new service but would like to know what day we pick up in your area please feel free to contact us! You can give us a call 251. 666. 4482 or send an e-mail with your address and contact information and we will be happy to let you know what days we run routes in your area.
If you are a current customer and have forgotten your pick up day or if you feel that your day may have recently changed please contact us and we will look it up! You can give us a call or send us an email with your account information and we will look it up and promptly reply.

Will you still pick up my recycling if it is raining?
Yes! The rain will not affect the materials in any way and unless conditions are severe we will continue to run routes as usual.
IF the weather takes a turn for the worst and we call off pick-ups for the day, we will resume pick-ups where we left off (usually late that afternoon or the next morning.)

How do I pay my monthly service fee?
We currently accept checks, money orders, credit cards and debit cards.
Please mail any checks or money orders to P.O. Box 1129, Mobile AL, 36633. We do not suggest leaving your payment taped to or fixed to your bin in any way as it may be mistaken for recycling.
For your convenience, Earth Resources offers monthly automatic draft to our customers. We accept all major credit and debit cards.
Will I receive a bill each month?
Yes. At the end of each month we mail out customer statements for the previous month’s service.
If you pay using our automatic draft each month you will not receive a bill.
If you have paid for several months in advance you will not receive a statement until you become due again.
Do you provide curbside service in my area?
Although we are striving each and every day to expand our service area we cannot guarantee that we offer curbside service where you live. We currently offer service to everyone within the city limits and in some areas in the county.
If you are not currently within our service area, but know of at least 10 close neighbors that would commit to our services we will strongly consider adding a route in your area. Please contact us with any questions.
